Insider guide

Shopping North Outlets.

The story

Las Vegas North Premium Outlets is an open-air, village-style Simon outlet center at 875 S Grand Central Pkwy, west of downtown and just off I-15 at Exit 41 (Charleston Blvd). It has more than 180 designer and name-brand stores.

This is the outlet for discounted luxury labels. Burberry, Versace, Ferragamo, Etro and Canali are a mix you rarely find together at a US outlet, so plan your route around them first.

What to Expect

Start with the designer outlets. Burberry has past-season trench coats and check scarves, Dolce & Gabbana and Versace carry earlier collections for men and women, Ferragamo has shoes, belts and silk ties, and Etro sells its paisley prints. Jimmy Choo, Stuart Weitzman, Tory Burch and Marc Jacobs cover shoes and handbags, St. John has women's knit suits, and Canali sells tailored suits and sport coats from its own factories. David Yurman has cable bracelets and rings at reduced prices.

A few stores aren't standard outlets. Rebag buys and sells pre-owned designer handbags and gives instant quotes if you bring one in to sell. Lucchese Bootmaker makes handmade cowboy boots in exotic and calf leathers, and Oliver Peoples fills prescriptions for its frames and sunglasses. For the house, Le Creuset Outlet stocks enameled cast iron in discontinued colors, and Zwilling J.A. Henckels has knife sets and Staub. Arc'teryx, lululemon, TUMI, Vilebrequin and Reyn Spooner round it out, and Retro City Games sells retro consoles and cartridges.

Best Time to Visit

The center posts 10am to 8pm, and most stores close at 7pm on Sunday. A few keep shorter hours: David Yurman is open 10am to 6pm daily, Ferragamo closes at 7pm every day, and Canali opens at 11am Monday to Thursday. Because the center is open-air, a summer visit is easier in the morning. Stop at Simon Guest Services at the main entrance first for the VIP coupon book; it also lends wheelchairs free.

If You Only Have an Hour

Pick up the coupon book at Guest Services, then go straight to the luxury outlets: Burberry, Versace and Ferragamo. Add Rebag if you're hunting a pre-owned bag, and finish with a burger at Shake Shack, by the rideshare and taxi zone.

Where to Eat

Everything here is quick. Shake Shack has ShackBurgers and frozen custard, The Cheesecake Factory is the full-service option, and Villa Italian Kitchen does counter-service pizza and pasta. South Philly Cheesesteaks & Fries, Pa Q Pikes Colombian Food and Ramyun Cafe, for a bowl of Korean instant noodles, fill out the food stops.

For a real meal, Esther's Kitchen on S Main St in the Arts District is a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand, built on naturally leavened bread and handmade pasta. Chef James Trees opened it in 2018.
