Insider guide

Shopping Fashion Show.

The story

Fashion Show Las Vegas is the Strip's big conventional mall, at 3200 Las Vegas Blvd S on the corner of Spring Mountain Rd, across from Wynn. Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Macy's and Dillard's anchor more than 250 shops and 30 restaurants, and the outdoor Plaza faces the Strip.

This is where locals and visitors go for mainstream brands, beauty and department-store shopping without a walk through a casino.

What to Expect

The four department stores do the heavy lifting. Neiman Marcus has designer ready-to-wear and NM Café, Nordstrom covers clothing, shoes, beauty and home for the whole family, Macy's runs a separate Macy's Men's store in the mall, and Dillard's is two levels next to the North and South garages. Louis Vuitton is here too, a quieter alternative to the casino-mall boutiques, alongside Tiffany & Co., and Marc Jacobs sells The Tote Bag and The Snapshot on Level 2.

The rest is the stuff you actually need on a trip. Sephora is on Level 1 by the Capital One Café, Apple has a Genius Bar, TUMI does monogramming, and Everything But Water has swimwear before a pool day. ZARA, Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters and Dr. Martens cover fashion, and TravisMathew and Tommy Bahama do golf and resort wear. For gifts, The LEGO Store on Level 1 has a Pick a Brick wall, Pop Mart sells Labubu and Skullpanda blind boxes, and Hat Club on Level 2 stocks New Era fitted caps in exclusive colorways. Davidoff of Geneva Cigar Lounge on the outdoor Plaza is the only spot on the property where smoking is allowed.

Best Time to Visit

The mall runs Monday to Thursday 10am to 8pm, Friday and Saturday 10am to 9pm and Sunday 10am to 7pm. The anchors keep their own schedules: Neiman Marcus closes at 6pm every day and opens at noon on Sunday, Dillard's opens at 11am (noon on Sunday), and Nordstrom stays open until 9pm Monday to Saturday. Doors open to mall walkers at 7am daily, a cool indoor loop before the stores open in summer. Lines form at Pop Mart for new releases, so go early on a drop day.

If You Only Have an Hour

Use the free valet at Nordstrom or Neiman Marcus. Do one department store, then Sephora on Level 1, then up to Marc Jacobs on Level 2. Finish with a lobster roll at Luke's Lobster, and walk past the 73-color painted stairs at the south end of the Plaza on your way out.

Where to Eat

Luke's Lobster serves Maine lobster, crab and shrimp rolls with chowder at a counter with outdoor seating, open 11am to 8pm daily. For a sit-down meal, The Capital Grille on Level 3 has dry-aged steaks in a quieter room above the mall, and Maggiano's Little Italy on Level 2 serves family-style portions for groups. On The Plaza facing the Strip, El Segundo Sol has Mexican food and a patio, Benihana cooks teppanyaki at shared grill tables, and Happy Camper Pizza has a campground-themed room.

Across the street at Wynn, Wing Lei is a Cantonese dining room recommended by the MICHELIN Guide.
